Called yesterday too. The first few times I tried it just said they were too busy and to call back later. Later in the afternoon it put me on hold for 45 minutes and then an agent came on. For my Premier (held for 2 years, got a retention offer last year), the only offer was to skip the minimum payment for 2 months because of Covid. No retention offer. It just billed, and they mentioned I could call back later. Will probably call again in a couple weeks.
they won’t budge. Good luck. Been fighting this one for 3 weeks now. Amazing they’d just rather lose customers. Well now I guess I can get a new card in two years with a bonus!
After probably 6-7 years of being billed $95 and getting one of two offers:
$95 credit and 1K bonus miles for 12 months
$95 after 5 purchases
I just converted it to a double cash. I’ll stick with the Aviator since I still get the 10,000 anniversary miles, though this is the last year for that. Otherwise using Chase Sapphire Reserve for most purchase. $99 for this card (why did it change from $95?) isn’t worth it this year.
