Interesting. Yours has the more poetic term if I do say so. Thing is my reconnaissance says Synchrony doesn’t do good retention offers or AF waivers on this card (maybe that changes by next year, probably not though). If it was a free card like Delta Blue AMEX I wouldn’t care and would just keep it in the sock drawer until I travel overseas, but the spend structure on this card is weak vs. competition, unless you spend a LOT outside the USA, and even then it’s pretty indifferent long term benefits as a paid airline card compared to other US airline keeper cards like Chase Southwest or Delta AMEX Gold that just have better ongoing airline benefits.
