Freight only flight would save on a crew of FAs plus other pax related flight costs.
Air freight costs have risen significantly due to limited space on limited flights. I am happy to see VS doing this, though I doubt it will bring the current costs down, because it means money for the company and more opportunities for air freight to fly.
Plus, freight doesn't care about things like IFE, meals, seat recline...
