I do admire some people’s optimism about when this will end. “Indefinitely” makes sense to me, when you start looking at restrictions imposed by destination Nations. Until they, with their local circumstances, start relaxing restrictions, who cares what UK does ... we won’t be able to get in to the destination anyway. It’s out of our hands, completely.
BTW, I don’t currently want to go to South Africa, even if we (or anyone else!) can enter, as sales of alcohol and cigarettes are currently suspended. And THAT’s the sort of thing existing at the other end of the telescope for optimists.
Hey-ho. Just chilling and waiting for the World to get back to quasi-normal, and eventually see if there’s anywhere worth going, and which surviving airlines fly there.
This must be very tough for South Africa's wine industry. Are they at least allowed to sell wine for export?
