Mrs G3 and I had an award reservation on June 9, from TXL-PHL-SFO. Since AA has grounded the last remaining 763s I expected this rez to be cancelled, but NO! they just eliminated the TXL-PHL segment and left standing the PHL-SFO segment. I guess we are expected to swim or row back to PHL from Berlin.
If rowing is an option, take a train from Berlin to Hamburg. From the Main Station take the train (S1/S2/S3) towards Landungsbrücken. Then hop in your canoe and head down the Elbe, all the way to Cuxhaven. There you will have reached the North Sea. Head southwest, through the English Channel and then give it a good go, until you reach the eastcoast of the U.S.! Should not be that difficult to find; we have better technology, than the guys in 1492.

And, keep in mind, you can get a PDB at St. Pauli Landungsbrücken, before you start your journey and there will be no credit card sales-pitch.

Seems like a win-win to me!
