Sure, but there comes a point at which it may make sense to cede defeat. UA simply isn't going to turn into EK, or even SQ. At some point, if whatever you've vested in the loyalty program is causing you as much angst and consternation as some people have flying UA, one needs to take a step back and ask if it's worth it.
