I might be in the minority. I never use any luggage tag for check bags. I just take a a large piece of paper and write all my flight information, cellphone, email address and my hotel address on it and lay it on the very top inside the bag in case it's misplaced. They will open the bag and find it immediately. And I always take a photo of my luggage.
