Here is the challenge.
I am flying on an H level Air Canada ticket from Canada to Israel via FRA on 4 October. With suitable status on AC, there should be no problem getting upgrades to J as far as FRA. The problem is the stretch FRA TLV. It doesn't intimidate me to sit in the back, except I must dash out of the airport for a business meeting on arrival after five days of intense traveling.

Are there practical options to obtain/leverage upgrades on LH metal? No Miles and More status, Elite status with AC.
