I always get the confirmation emails immediately upon booking a new reservation so I don't understand why that can't happen when a rental is extended too. Did I do something wrong? Is this a known issue?
Nope, you did nothing wrong. I’ve extended many many rentals and only once I believe received an email. If you are past your return date, you will receive annoying phone calls from Hertz informing you that the car is past due. You will also receive a mailed letter on occasion.
