"Available Flight Options", it was a new screen to me but I have not had a flight cancelled two days in advance before.
That's the interesting thing. I got an email that said United flight ### from here-to-there is cancelled. Click this link to see alternative flights. Before I clicked the link I went into the reservation on United.com and it still showed me on my original flight and that the flight was operating. It never showed me that it was cancelled. When I clicked on the link they sent me via email it gave me the option to change my origin and destination cities within 100 miles or so (e.g. I'm booked to fly out of WAS but they gave me DCA/IAD/BWI/PHL and others that I didn't even read). It also gave me all options starting today for the next five days even though my flight was originally booked for later this week. I scratched my head when the page was only giving me options for late in the afternoon until I realize it defaulted to "today". That's a bug to me as most people are probably using this to change flights that wind up leaving on a totally different day.
All flight options it gave me were in "PZ" because I had already been CPU'd. I selected a flight. I realized later that the flight I moved to wouldn't work so I went back to the link via the email and it presented the exact same page and let me change again. However, this time it only let me change to my original fare class "K". I got CPU'd about four hours later for that flight.
I will take a screenshot of my return flight early next week which I'm 99% sure will be cancelled and I'll be forced to change.
