I have no real interest in making plans to meet up with other FlyerTalkers (although I have accidentally met some really delightful ones over the years), but I know that many others here do enjoy such social occasions and I have no doubt that you will have many other takers for a meet-up en route. So I'd certainly go ahead and start a thread.

In FT, even though it's not used that often we have a Flight Connect section plus a Lounge Connect one.
Also, a thread named "BA Tier Point Runs Meet-Up thread" would be useful, but it's not the time to open such one; as with the ongoing COVID-19 issues, the thread would quickly disappear from the first page of the BA board.
