I believe future ops will be very different to what we were used to, for instance the A380 is unlikely to do LAX MEL on return despite the routes popularity. I also believe the refurbs are halted at 5 for the A380. Qantas mentioned the 747 may still operate charters and has not ruled out ops in the future. I suspect small capacity flights will be the future we are headed for.
