Edward Hasbrouck, a respected travel writer (Practical Nomad series) and privacy activist, has said that the trouble is there's essentially no difference between airlines in terms of privacy policies or the enforcement thereof. Basically, all airlines misuse your data and all airlines are willing at the drop of a hat to hand it over to the government. The only hope here is of passing legislation to protect our travel privacy, and we all know how high the likelihood of that happening is.
They (the terrorists) hate us for our freedom, which is why we're trying to pacify them by eliminating it.
