Of course there will always be a need for some business travel. Face-to-face deals will still need to be done and specialist contractors will still need to go where they’re required.

But I simply can’t believe that, given the inevitable effect of all this on the global economy, most companies won’t be taking a longer, harder than normal look at how much travel is vital to the health of the business vs just nice to have, and - equally crucial for BA - whether it still needs to be at the pointy end.
