I went to Whistler this past February and fell in love with it! Whistler and Blackcomb are fantastic, the village(s) are great, the exchange rate is terrific, and most of all, the employees in the bars, stores, and restaurants were totally welcoming and not the least bit homophobic. I met great guys from all over the country.

I was there for eight days and the only thing I witnessed that was unusual was a teenager throwing a snowball at two guys walking arm in arm, and a police officer immediately went over to him to read him the riot act.

I am a skier and my partner is a snowboarder and we were equally dazzled. We could go together or venture off separately and it was very easy to meet up. The mountains have good signage.

I also went to Lake Tahoe's (gay) Winterfest this Winter which left MUCH to be desired. Sure, Heavenly is a great mountain, but the events were poorly planned and WAY too expensive for what you got out of it.
