"Unfortunately, we will not be able to honor this claim because:The reason for the flight delay is not a covered hazard. A Covered Hazard includes equipment failure, inclement weather, labor strikes, and hijacking or skyjacking."
I'm assuming this is the final word or do I potentially have a reason to appeal?
Which of the published covered losses do you think your scenario falls under? The answer is probably none of them, but take a look. Any claim/appeal needs to pin the claim clearly against a published covered loss.
I myself just had a claim denied (which I expected) based on a cancelled flight and government advisory against travel. Neither are really covered losses but I tried my luck and lost.
