Howdy,

As I understand it - here is what Hilton Family branded properties have agreed to do for Diamonds outside of breakfast.

Provide, subject to avaliblity room on the Towers or Executive Level floor, whenever possible. If not, then access to the Towers or Executive Level lounge. If there is no executive level if and only if a breakfast is given to all guests then and only then will Diamond VIPs will be offered a special amenity (bottle of water in some cases; up to a fruit basket with Champaign - varies by property I assume).

At Hilton Family hotels outside the U.S. and Canada if they do not have a "lounge" level - then they are expected to provide some sort of anemity (again - from a 6oz bottle of water up to whatever they want to do).

At Hilton Garden Inn hotels, Diamond VIP members will receive a $5.00 coupon* for use during stay at the Pavilion Pantry® (excludes alcohol) if upgrade to a suite is not possible. So if you get a suite - that's it (outside of the free breakfast; but it's either a suite or a $5.00 Coupon)

At Embassy Suites Hotels, Diamond VIP members will be offered "The Embassy Touch", including a light snack on night of arrival and a terry robe for use during the stay. (Light snack can be a 6oz bottle of water, and 3oz bag of crackers or it can be a wonderful cheese and fruit plate; with a dessert selection and a small bottle of bailey's).

At Hampton Inn and Hampton Inn & Suites hotels, Diamond VIP members will be offered "The Hampton Touch", including a light snack on night of arrival. (much more often to be the small water and crackers, although I've had a few that were more).

At Homewood Suites by Hilton, Diamond VIP members will receive a welcome gift. (I believe this has always been the bottle of water for me).

At Scandic hotels, Diamond VIP members will automatically receive the best available room (excluding suites), if available at check-in.

So - outside of breakfast - that's about it.

By the way - as many of you will recognize - 99% of the above was copied from Hilton's website and edited to address the original posters questions along with some comments by me.

Keep the faith,

Pakse

p.s. Love to hear from other folks what their experiences are.

p.p.s. As far as I know - the water is a one-time thing - and does not include the bottle of water in the room with the $8.00 tag on it. In some cases, in others - (CVG hilton netherlands comes to mind) I got 4 bottles of water each night, turn-down, cookies, nice lounge snacks (enough to make a small meal out of) whirlpool, etc... staff could not have been better. And I was treated each morning to a nice full hot buffet (eggs, bacon, etc...) if you stay there - try their homemade danishes - they are really nice.
