FYI just a data point: I stayed at the Hilton Caribe in San Juan Feb 14-18, and had a total of $218 credited back (mostly room service and bar drinks!) but oddly one $14.50 charge to the exact same place (pool bar) didn't credit back. Amex refused to credit it until my statement rolled over, and I had to call back. Then they credited it immediately.
So, check your statements to be sure things all credit!
