dilanesp;32226645]The same obligation a bank has to refuse to give you your money, which you are in theory entitled to, during a run. Keeping the enterprise open is more important than any one contract.
Businesses are exempt from criminal and civil fraud because they can always simply claim they need to unilaterally keep your own specific funds "to keep the enterprise open."
