OK UA finally emailed me about my mid April flight to LIS, after changing the schedule a couple of times:
As a result of recent travel restrictions brought on by the COVID-19 outbreak, we have made changes to our flight schedule which have impacted your travel plans. We are offering options to rebook your flight or use the value of your ticket for future travel.
When I log in and go to Manage My Flights, it says:
To make changes now, select “Change flight” below. To rebook travel later, select “Cancel flight” and you’ll be able to rebook with change fees waived. View the waiver details for more information.
Waiver Details page says:
LIGHT CHANGES:
- New tickets must be reissued on/before December 31, 2020 or 12 months from original ticket date, whichever is earlier
- Rebooked travel must commence within 12 months from the original ticket issue date
ORIGINAL TICKET MUST BE ISSUED ON OR BEFORE:
March 2, 2020

Says nothing there about refund at the end of the 12 month period.
So if I click "CANCEL flight" I have 12 months from original ticket issue date to use it or request refund at end of it?
