but it's driving me nuts not knowing the clear terms. Also, is there anywhere on this, or another thread, that tells you what fare refers to what class (I see 11 different letter codes for Traveller - I assume some refer to domestic flights, some to lowest posible fare, some to flexible fare etc)?
On your EC statement, it lists things as "Cabin/Class". Cabin being where you actually sat, class being what you paid for. So, for example, I had a T class (discounted World Traveller Plus) return ticket recently. On the way out I benefited from an OpUp and it was listed as "J/T" on my statement. On the way back, I was in WTP as intended and it lists as "W/T". The list of codes used to represent the cabin are shown above your EC Statement.
The list
G-BOAG provided is the most comprehensive I've seen. In terms of paid tickets, I find it's better to remember things the opposite way around...just remember that F/A is FIRST, J/C/D/I is Club, W/T is Traveller Plus and Y/B/H are Economy fares which earn tier points...the rest are all cheapo Traveller fares. (Domestic confuses the issue a little - the 'Cabin' posts as C, but otherwise the ticket is booked in one of the standard Traveller letters or perhaps J if it's 'UK Business').
