Location: The hotel is located west of the airport grounds in a secluded wooded area where you can't easily walk to anywhere else. It's safer than the neighborhood the south of ATL and north of ATL hotels are in but if you don't have a car you can't anywhere. It's about a 5-8 minute drive to the terminals depending on traffic.

Hotel: The hotel is an older Marriott property that looks dated from the outside but is pretty nice on the inside. The lobby has a business center, a bar and restaurant and a separate steak restaurant. There's also a Starbucks coffee shop which is nice to have. There is a lounge but it's currently closed for Corona Reasons. There are 5 elevators servicing the high rise and waits can be long. Do note the elevators are key activated.

Check In: I appear to be one of very few non airline crew staying here. The hotel is currently understaffed and check in seemed overwhelmed. The agent when I arrived was sadly less friendly and helpful than I'm used to but all agents on duty the day I left were much nicer. I'm cutting everyone slack these days.

Room: Nicely renovated but on the small side. There wasn't much room to maneuver in the bedroom and the bathroom is tiny. These days I'm happy to get what they have but in the future I'd hope for some kind of upgrade as the room felt cramped. On the plus side there were outlets near the bed, an Internet TV, Wifi worked well and it was quiet.

Dining: The lounge is currently closed. The restaurant and bar are open but closing at 10 PM and while they do room service 24 hours they won't sell beer or wine after 10. Breakfast however is the full menu right now. Service and food were excellent.

Overall a decent hotel. Better than some options and when priced right a good choice.
Stayed here recently myself. I agree with your review. To me it's a great value right now if you want a nice Marriott close to the airport. And Frank the AGM and Mark the GM are very friendly.
