this was probably right about the time OZ entered the jet age with their DC-9s, so it's (to me, at least) a logical guess that the flight served their St Louis (STL) hub ... perhaps Des Moines (DSM) thereafter
24. You are right on track here as it was indeed Ozark with a DC9. However, although the flight in question did stop in St. Louis, STL was actually the second stop. So we are still looking for the first stop here.
