As for the $150 change fee, Delta continually says that even if you cancel you will get the full amount back. Their system is clogged, so it may take a little time. If you ask Amex for it, you may be in a claw-back situation.

Delta hs gone so far as to say if you can't get through the phone lines to cancel, a no-show will be considered a cancellation and the entire fare will be re-issued as an e-credit.
