Soft landed from Marriott Gold to Silver
Adding a datapoint to this thread. Mr Lainys has had Marriott Gold for several years without needing to re-register annually. He's my designated companion for United MM Gold. His Marriott status dropped to Silver with one stay under his name in 2019. Re-registered him via this link on United yesterday. His Marriott status changed to Gold this morning.
