My Bolivian evacuee this morn: “Only about 40% Ground staff in SIN wear masks”. They don’t seem to concerned, but this was pre-announcement.
He’s arrived HK now so “not even close”. But would’ve preferred airports to remain open for nationals, permanent residents, their family, exit of foreign visitors returning home and airside transfer of those repatrials.

I just saw Taiwan do the same.
That’s what I’m worried about - once one do it, they all do it. Racing to outdo each other/more infectious than the disease.

not really over reaction. Blame the few transit people who have travel history to Germany n France n yet still fly to Changi for transit n then were detected and send to hospital. these people should not have board the plane at all as SIN have banned transit from Germany /France.
Also there are many cases detected in HK/China where the paxes have transit via Sin n travel via SQ flight to HKG in the past week.
