So did I. I had three stays for four nights in, with my final Silver renewal stay booked. But now I will move three other stays from Marriott (where I don't really need them, but they were offering me double points) to Hilton to become a Gold again.

I was comped to Gold by Hilton back in 2002, though I held no status with an airline or another hotel program, so I don't know why. It did earn them a lot more business then they would have gotten, however, so maybe they figured the fast track would incentivize me to stay more with Hilton in 2005.

And it will.
