Do you think we might as well wait a week or so to see if UA cancels the flight (sorting out with UR how the refund comes to us)? If the flight is cancelled, do we still use Chase's refund request form? We'd prefer that chance of a refund over UA travel credit.
Updating this situation of ours: the Chase form says to use for travel 8-14 days ahead, so I'm wondering whether to use it at the last chance tomorrow; I'd like to use the form rather than phone in a messy situation, and maybe by the time Chase processes it it will be cancellable for a refund. So far UA doesn't seem to be cancelling much on that route in March.
