I tried calling AA from Rio de Janeiro. I dialed the local toll-free access number for ATT and then entered 800-843 ... I heard a message 'thank you for using ATT' and I was then connected to AA in the US. I was not charged or asked to enter a credit card number. Presumably this would work from any point in the world where ATT has a toll-free access number. It is ironic that here in Brazil, AA withdrew its national toll-free 800 number and replaced it with a 300 number that costs nearly as much as a long distance call. So ... now we have to call the US at AA's expense. They must be paying more for both the call and the employee.
