Please recall that I'm simply the "bore" and will likely always remain so! Yet, of course, I suppose that one does not necessarily preclude being the other!

The short answer to your question would be that we Americans simply could not bear to call it "Economy", (which of course it is, and you folks do), as it is somehow seemingly always unfashionable to use this term in a land where the streets are paved with gold! So marketing folks dubbed it "Coach" so one might be as comfy as a baby travelling in a traditional coach!

Regarding your other assumption, I'd suggest that you not assume anything!

I was tempted to assume that you were simply joking!
