Yes, you are correct. I did mean to say that it is one year from the travel date, not the date it was booked. Thank you for catching that.

How can you have a valid fare that is over a year from now? If issued today, a Companion Certificate would expire before 3/19/2021. When you "book" or "reserve" a flight, the ticket is issued and your 1 year of validity starts on that date.

If you cancel your itinerary, AS will re-issue your certificate if it hasn't expired.
