This is correct -- no change fees. You have to buy up to a full fare ticket to STANDBY for any other flight. Though, effectively there isn't much standing by on WN because once you buy up to the full fare, you confirm onto the flight you want unless it's sold out. Any changes are done without CHANGE FEES, the downside is this includes ALL changes! Even if you wanted to standby for an earlier flight. But switch your ticket for future dates? Over and over again? No problem and no fees.

But as SEA_Tigger indicates, if Ted isn't matching WN's no change fee (as United did previously with Shuttle - boy I miss that!), I can't see them matching the $25 Independence fee either.
