I am changing jobs and will be using BA to fly into DBX. I am currently a AAdvantage member and was curious about whether you can earn AAdantage miles while flying on BA stock. If not, then is it possible to get a comped status with BA based on my Platinum status with American. I will be making the trip from SHV to DBX at least monthly so I should accumulate miles quite rapidly. I will appreciate any feedback</font>
SHV to DBX? Do you mean DXB (Dubai)? If you are going to fly Shreveport to Dubai, I assume you will connect through somewhere (DFW?) to LHR and then to DXB. You will earn AAdvantage miles for the LHR/DXB flight but not for the transatlantic. You could get an AA/BA ticket flying on AA transatlantic and then BA from LHR to DXB. Or if you are going to fly enough, just put all your miles on BA. BA is not known to comp easily, but it has been done. Ask your travel agent to speak to their sales support. Or just write to the Executive Club with a copy of your AAdvantage statement and an explanation that you expect to fly BA a lot more due to new job, etc.

Good luck!
