Interestingly, at least for the time being Southwest seems tobdtill have tickets on sale for the return. Ferrying empty planes to AUA to repatriate customers into the US.

Do as you think makes sense... but I would be at the airport trying to get on the next flight. Unless you want to spend a few months in Aruba.
