Thanks a lot.

I hopped over to Aeroplan after posting my questions. While the site is slow, especially on the last final processing step, took well over 20 to 30 sec to come back the Green tick mark on "You have successfully been refunded for your booking." (strange English expression...) the whole process went smoothly without hiccup despite I was nervously watching the processing bar on each step. lol.
Miles redeposited (balance changed) while I was still on the screen.

A Big Thumbs Up to Aeroplan!
