Egypt has closed all its airports today. Egyptair changed my flights previously but refuses to refund my ticket (ex EU) despite being required to do so under EU261. And Mercure Hurghada is refusing to rebook a non-refundable booking: they claim that this can only be handled by Accor while Accor say that this is the responsiblity of the hotel. The management of Accor have clearly lost it. And Egypt as a holiday destination is shooting itself in the foot.
