I cancelled a flight at the last minute yesterday online (phone wait was long and we were supposed to fly out in a few hours) and had the funds deposited in my wallet. Was able to connect with someone on the phone after, pointed out what they say on the blog and was told that the companion code would be back in my account 3-5 days. The agent I spoke to was unaware of the post at first, but she was able to talk to her supervisor when we pointed out what the blog says.
