My guess is the older airplanes with planned retirement dates (i.e., MD-80s and MD-90s) will be retired. 757s and 767s may be stored longer term, as it may make less sense to bring them back if they are to be retired in 2021.
For short-term storage, I would be curious as to what Delta did after 9/11.
