I think that it just boils down to who you get on what day. I would compare it to my daily experience at Starbucks. I'm extremely loyal to my morning coffee but I don't always frequent the same individual location and thus don't see the same people. My morning barista can range from extremely enthusiastic and thanks for coming in to downright surly. I don't blame Starbucks though... I blame the individual and their ability to give good customer service.
