Flight Cancelled

Hi, I have a return flight to Brisbane, Australia on May 22nd - 29th May with BA via HKG.

The HKG <-> BNE legs are on QF metal and I've recieved a notification that my return leg, BA7409 (QF97) on 29th May, has been cancelled. There has been no rebooking that I can see, so now I am missing one leg of my flights.

Does anyone know the probability of BA eventually auto rebooking me either onto a different route or date? Or should I call later in the week to get this sorted?

I am aware the lines are extremely busy at the moment, but I wanted to know if I should buy tickets with another airline or if BA will rebook me. As it is my Dad's 60th in Brisbane I am a little concerned about potentially having no flights with BA and have looked into booking with EY and EK but don't want to book before I know if BA can rebook me or not.

Thanks for any advice anyone can give!
