Thank you, I’m pleased to say that they got home this afternoon, very shaken by the whole experience but otherwise OK. And thank you so much to your husband and his colleagues for flying people home at what must be such a difficult time.
interestingly my parents reported lots of police on the streets this morning stopping cars and checking that they had a valid reason to be out and about, even though the full lockdown doesn’t start until tomorrow (they did let people go the airport!). Other people that they spoke to at the airport got there last night and slept in the airport, just to make sure that they could get there ok. I booked the EasyJet flight for them on Friday when I could see what was starting to happen (I should have done it much earlier in retrospect!j but their tour company, Saga, sounds like it has been really, really good with amazing reps - they have been reassuring guests and are arranging charter flights home for the remaining guests.
