Credit card dispute over cancelled flight [on Air Europa]
Has anyone ever successfully disputed a flight charge with their credit card company either recently or even before this whole Coronavirus incident? I booked a flight to Paris from NYC that is scheduled to leave later today. Obviously due to the travel ban, the flight will be cancelled. I tried to contact the third party travel agent through which I booked the flight and they were only able to offer a partial refund. I don't understand why I should pay a portion if I paid for a service/product and cannot even receive said service/product. If there was no travel ban and I was just afraid to go, I can completely understand why I would not be entitled to any refund, but I feel as though this is a completely different scenario with this ban.
