London for 30k pts - screwed if canceled? edit: rebooked 6wks out, $10 total extra.
Got in on the London for 30k points a month or so ago(edit: Heh, I'm a moron - I finally checked and I booked November 25, well before any of this COVID-19 panic - twin toddlers will fry your brain like that), booked for family of 4. Scheduled to travel in about a week. Have already seen they are currently canceling my direct to LHR flight to funnel everyone via one of the 11 screening airports - so I assume as mine gets closer it will get canceled.
Question - am I just screwed if my flight is canceled? My pessimistic guess is that they will either 1) let me rebook on another flight but then claim that flight is now 80k + points a ticket OR 2) they just cancel and say here's your points back.
Either one of those probably kills my trip as I don't have (or would spend) that many miles on 4 tickets.
Is there any chance they let me change my flight without screwing me on whatever difference there is almost certain to exist?
TIA
