This platinum has not yet decided on what to do next year. As I have mentioned earlier, I have switched my transatlantics to BA. I have still not bought a ticket on CO for the year 2005. I just don't have the same enthusiasm as I have in the past, and I am just hesitant to make any bookings on CO for next year, except for award redemptions, if I can find them!
And I really hope that Kellner will make some improvements which actually recognize platinums. They say they are going to have a dedicated elite phone number, but they've said that for the past four years since I've been a platinum. It's little things like that which makes a customer feel appreciated. Not blue carpets! I still have to wait for the GA to decide to stop working the general line to attend to me on the blue carpet. And, yes, this happens mostly at EWR. Perhaps it is time that the EWR people take some customer relationship classes. I honestly don't know how the majority can keep their jobs. I try and fly though Houston just to avoid the indifference at EWR.
Oh, one more thing. I really like it when the FA comes through the F cabin and thanks you personally for flying CO. But what about the Y cabin? If more attention was paid to the Y cabin, rather than just a generic announcement thanking you for flying CO, they might just pick up some more frequent flyers who will be willing to pay the higher prices that CO charges. And remember, with the removal of F seats, there will be more elites sitting in the back, which should not be forgotten.
Sorry for my rant, but I am still undecided for my 2005 plans.
