At my reluctant request, my long-planned YVR-LHR-RAK itinerary departing 13 March (return 23 March) was cxled today without fee with ability to rebook, by rule, until August. This was booked via AmEx Plat Travel with BA. The problem I am facing is that the ticket was booked in May, and BA is thus far unwilling to extend ticket expiration (rendering the August rebook deadline a nullity). My AmEx Plat agent is a gem (and, coincidentally, a big fan of Fez, where I was headed) and is following up. I am keeping my fingers crossed as it is a not inexpensive CW ticket that I would happily rebook, but before early May is impossible. If anyone is able to report any flexibility by BA in this regard, I would be grateful for the information.
