Although I cant but feel that the OP will end up being just another 1 Post Wonder, why should they simply accpet then loss and move on. I for sure wouldnt even if the rate was $49

I fully understand the hotel and if they are soldout except for the OPs room and could have sold that room I hear that, but I highly doubt that that is the story, and cant but feel what the Hotel should have done is check the story the OP told them to see if in fact the cruise was CXed and when it was and if the OP is correct then either refund the $$$ or at least let the fulll amount be used fora future stay
