thanks. Of course, for international, lap child to over 2 will go from 10% to full price. But no way to keep the $/ticket in the PNR, and just pay the difference at rebooking to full price? Just curious, since I’m unaware, aside from the lack of seat assignments, are infant tickets on international flights different than another child ticket with a seat, in that they can not be re-issued that way as part of a change. Seems odd with airlines as strict as they are on non-refundability all of a sudden forcing me to take a refund on a ticket that I really would prefer to leave in the PNR.

And there’s no alternate way to get the younger kid on the new itinerary using credit, right. I don’t doubt UA, or at least any human agent at UA, would try and re-route differently. I do worry about the computer - given there is no way to actually link PNRs. I also expect there will be some difficulty in 1) getting a ticket for a 2 yo issued in their own PNR, as well as 2), trying to check in said ‘on their own’ 2 yo.

It also slightly stinks that this child wouldn’t be eligible for CPU in advance like the rest of the family on the same PNR (likelihood of this happening on a PNR with 4 including 2 premiers, aside, but still...)
