I this was the "how to social engineer your way into fancy airline lounges", forum, then sure, the SSL is something to possibly target.
For the general case of "will X happen, what should I expect?" questions we deal with, the SSL lounge access rules according to all reports with no dissenting observations, the reality is quite true to their posted rules.
It might, in fact, be the most consistently enforced rule AC enforces.
