This is where it gets expensive for the carrier and what little cash it has gets used up quickly. If crew hotels want prepayment, fuel and airport fees will want that as well and at that point card issuers (banks) will increase the chargeback holdback (which protects the banks against having to pay out on tickets in insovlency).
