Just as an update on my situation, I had put an fraud alert on my account due to my recent breach to my SSN and mother's maiden name, so Chase had to do a fraud check before approving the card. I am grateful that the fraud alert did what it was supposed to, but yeah, they gave me a ridiculous amount of credit on the IHG card. Way more than any of my other Chase cards. Not sure why they asked about updating my gross income if they ended up being so generous.
